Guarantee & Warranty
The key points at a glance
- 2-year statutory warranty on all products – for consumers, from delivery.
- In the event of a defect: repair or replacement – and if that fails, withdrawal or a price reduction.
- Normal wear of wear parts and limescale damage due to lack of care are not defects.
- Report a defect: via your customer account, the contact form or by e-mail.
- Spare parts and a repair service are available from us on request.
What the statutory warranty covers
As the seller, we are responsible for ensuring that the goods are free from material defects and defects of title when they are handed over to you (Sections 434 et seq. of the German Civil Code, BGB). For consumers, the warranty period is two years and begins with the delivery of the goods.
If a defect becomes apparent within one year of delivery, it is presumed to have already existed at the time of delivery (Section 477 BGB). So during this period, you do not have to prove this yourself.
In the event of a defect, you are initially entitled to subsequent performance: you can choose whether we repair the goods (rectification) or deliver goods free of defects (replacement). We bear the costs required for this, e.g. for transport and shipping. If subsequent performance fails, you can withdraw from the contract or reduce the purchase price and, under the statutory conditions, claim damages.
Warranty or guarantee – what is the difference?
The statutory warranty (Gewährleistung) is your legal right against us as the seller. It applies automatically and covers defects that already existed at the time of delivery – even if they only become apparent later.
A guarantee (Garantie), on the other hand, is a voluntary, additional promise – usually by the manufacturer – for example that a device will work for a certain period of time. We do not currently offer an additional manufacturer’s guarantee; your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Wear parts
Some parts naturally wear out through intended use, in particular seals, hoses, nozzles and brushes. This normal wear is not a defect. However, if a wear part is already defective on delivery or fails due to a material or manufacturing defect, the statutory warranty of course applies. You can get suitable spare and wear parts from us.
Care, maintenance and limescale
To keep your steam cleaner working reliably for a long time, please follow the instructions in the operating manual on water quality, maintenance and descaling. Damage caused by limescale deposits that is due to unsuitable water or to missing or improper maintenance contrary to the operating manual is not a defect of the goods and is therefore not covered by the statutory warranty.
How to report a defect
- Contact us as soon as possible – the easiest way is via your customer account using “Return items” with the reason “Complaint”. Alternatively, you can reach us via the contact form or by e-mail to kontakt@magicpureshine.de.
- Describe the defect as precisely as possible and state your order number. Photos or a short video help us to assess it.
- We will get back to you and discuss the next steps, e.g. repair, a spare part or a replacement. Please arrange any return with us in advance – especially for freight goods. In a warranty case, you do not bear any costs for subsequent performance, including shipping.
Transport damage
Please check your delivery for externally visible damage on arrival. For freight goods, it is best to note any damage directly on the delivery note or the forwarder’s receipt. Please inform us as soon as possible. Your statutory rights remain unaffected – even if you only notice damage later.
Spare parts and repair service
You can find many spare parts and accessories for our steam cleaners directly in our shop. In addition, we offer spare parts and a repair service on request – even after the warranty period has expired. Simply write to us via the contact form; we will get back to you with an individual offer.
For business customers
If you buy as a business, the warranty period is one year from delivery. You must notify us of obvious defects without delay after delivery; for merchants, the duty to inspect and give notice of defects under Section 377 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) also applies. You can find details in our terms and conditions.
